    They're all about the same ime  Try to find a local branch they speak English in is more important than saving a few penny's a year in fees

You don't choose a bank in LOS, they choose you.

    Just act as if it won't be, praise how useful it will be and demonstrate your permission to stay here, Thai address etc. you need to have at least £500 with you as the minimum balance is $500 equiv. + about Bt 1000 up-front fees.  Took my 10 year old with me as Translator, just in case.. got the card in about a week. Not used it much, as that is 2019 budget.

     

    (One thing I should note, is that I did use that branch, to change notes a few times, over a number of months, before opening, and I think they recognised the son & I)

     

    It's the Thai Baht account they are more anti with, MUST have a work permit! (which I doubt I'll ever have).
