Looking for organisation to sponsor a child

I'm interested in sponsoring a child in Thailand for a longer period of time, not like a one time donation. Can anybody recommend a good and trustworthy organisation which I could contact?

What exactly do you plan to do and what do you expect in return? You can find poor people everywhere in Thailand, so you can support them directly, don't need the overhead of a organization who puts most of the money in their own pockets.
