Non-ED visa question

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

How many times can one get a Non-ED visa by studying a single subject like English or Thai language? I paid for a 1 year English course on February and I've been studying for 9 months, getting extension stamps every 3 months. I want to get another 1 year course for the new ED-visa in the next year, but some people say you can't get ED-visa twice for the same subject, while other say you can study same language for two years. I need more precise information. Thanks in advance!

For basic Thai language the base line is 600 hours of study which works out to about a year and a half of study. That is based upon 400 hours which is required for a a year of total stay. After the year you have to go out for another non-ed visa. Then you can get another 6 months by enrolling in a course of study of 200 hours.

If you can find a school that offers advanced studies you can get another year and a half of stay.
