Buying a property on tourist visa

Featured Replies

In 2010 i bought a property in Thailand with a double tourist visa without a problem.

Since the double tourist visa no longer exists, is it possible to buy a property now with a single tourist visa or i need a multiple visa or something else ?

I bought a condo in 2003 on a single entry tourist visa, this was in Chiang Mai.

No visa of any type required.

You definitely can.

Only requirements are (if you are a foreigner wishing to purchase the CONDO under your name):

Money coming from a Bank account under your name, in a foreign country AND in a foreign currency.

Quota available (a maximum of 49% of the total living area of the residence can be owned by foreigners).

Hope I helped ????

You can buy a condo even with a visa extempt stamp, but you will need a tor-tor-3 from a bank over the full amount.

I bought my Condo in JomTien with a Visa Exempt 30 day Visa...........I rally don't think they give rats ass at what kind of Visa your on as long as the proper payments aroma between buyer, seller and IO (for the fats paperwork)  :cheesy::clap2::post-4641-1156694083:
