Annual Visa Renewals Using An Agent.

Featured Replies

We had a big party at our house last night and after awhile the visitors got into a serious discussion in regards to annual visa renewals. Some said that using agents is now finished. Others said it's still the same as it always was whilst others sat on the fence and were non committal. So has anyone done an annual renewal with an agent recently? If so was it the same as normal or has the rules changed. My visa renewal is due on November 30 so I just need to know where I sit when my renewal time comes around. Thanks. PS : The above comments are for Pattaya only.

The agents are still advertising heavily in Pattaya, so I'm going with it's not finished.

Same except first 15 months are 45-50k with bank account when they were 26k a few years ago

Anybody who thinks agents (for extensions due to retirement) are finished, is probably very confused and conflating multiple different issues that they have completely failed to understand.

Parties, booze and uneducated, ill-informed people are a potent mix for a discussion that lacks clarity and is replete with misunderstanding.

As far as I'm concerned I believe that retirement visas with an agent will stay the same. Could you imagine a city like Pattaya if the retirement visas by an agent were stopped. Pattaya would become a ghost town. There's many expat rumor mongers in bars who think that they know everything. Nowadays I rarely go to bars so I seek some advice from other AN members who have done a given task recently.

Not to sure if your thread has changed.

BBL introduced some rubbish re freezing account to provide Bank Letter.

Agents don't renew your visa they will assist in obtaining a 12 month extension to your permission of stay.

Seems you are in Pattaya and use an agent.

They will confirm no change.

BTW it's not just jomtien that has agents.
