Traffic snarls hit several Bangkok roads after the capital was hit by freak rains at noon on Saturday.

Heavy rains were reported in several parts of the city, including Huay Kwang, Sutthisarn, and Ratchadapisek.

The heavy rains and subsequent shallow floods caused long lines of traffic on Ratchadapisek Road from Soi 12.

The underpass under the Huay Kwang intersection was flooded and impassable for small cars during the deluge.

It means that   it was a strong rain storm, consistent with the season,  and that the writer has a limited vocabulary.

This no longer the wet season.  The rain was unusual, that's what it meant

Many years ago, when I first came here, rainy season was from May to the start of December.

TAT changed it, but, no one told the weather.

Also, rainy and dry season should not be confused with the dates for the SW and NE monsoon direction changes. When the NE monsoon starts, the first month always has rain.

Beats me too.maybe all bright different colours with frogs and fish in it.

freak rains, as in this is supposed to be high season not rainy season. But, it can rain during any day of the year in Thailand. This isn't really that odd of an occurrence, especially for november.

It poured today in Thonburi with lightning right over head. Now its like a wet blanket out there, AC time

Difficult to decipher traditional seasons anymore

Will it be Floods in BKK !

1 day soon it will be permanently flooded and you will need a gondala to get around
