dogzilla
Air pollution has always been bad in Thailand with the annual agriculture burning and whatnot. Lately I've noticed a almost daily smell (definitely not burning/ maybe chemical discharge?) during the late afternoon and evenings where I live at Srinakarin, Samutprakarin. Heck I can smell it right now. Is anyone experiencing the same thing? Edited November 22, 2018 by dogzilla
AhFarangJa
Nothing to do with the waste paper factory blaze? I know you said it was not burning, possibly sulphur based ?

MaxYakov
I noticed an unusual "unhealthy" level of pollution for most of Friday at the RTAQ (Real Time Air Quality) Bangkok website. I monitor that site fairly frequently and had not seen such a high level for such a long period. It must have been the paper factory fire in Samut Prakan:

SoilSpoil
Following, as I know exactly what the OP is talking about. This has been going on for years in Bang Na. A chemical almost sweet, but very nasty smell, especially at night.

Heck, by definition, the "annual agriculture burning" happens once a year and "whatnot" does not contribute anything to pollution.

Besides the rainy season, crop burning is a year round event.
