sidjameson
I am 50. Uk citizen. Taught english for 15 years in the past but nothing in last 5 years. I am reasonably presentable and socially skilled. My UK degree cert is in the UK. I would be willing to work in rural locations. Do I stand any chance of finding work? Salary is not that important. Many thanks.
BurgerGung
Forgive me being slow - not sure what you mean with the degree. But yeah, you will need a big stick to fight off employers wanting you...

stubuzz
Why don't you get is posted to you or apply for a replacement certificate and transcripts? Without employers will try to exploit you.
allane
And, you will not be able to obtain a 1 yr. Non-immigrant "B" visa unless you show the Immigration Dept. your original degree and original transcripts, In the case of the latter I mean a paper copy issued by the university, signed by the signing authority, with an embossed seal Photocopies and downloaded copies are not accepted.
