Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans went on a rollercoaster of emotions in early May as the show was cancelled by FOX then resurrected barely a day after.

 

Given the outrage that surrounded the cancellation, it was likely that another network would take the chance to make themselves instant heroes and order a sixth season of the show and it wasn't Hulu or Netflix in the end, but production company Universal TV's sister network NBC.

 

"Ever since we sold this show to FOX I've regretted letting it get away, and it's high time it came back to its rightful home," said NBC Entertainment's Chairman Robert Greenblatt.

 

"Mike Schur, Dan Goor, and Andy Samberg grew up on NBC and we're all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy line-up."
