Summoned by police, farmer briefly reunites with smiling buffalo

Surat Phaeoket embraces Tongkum on Thursday at Khan Na Yao Police Station.

 

BANGKOK — After spending two days apart from his beloved buffalo, which authorities seized earlier this week, Surat Phaeoket rushed to the police station and past the media to cuddle the animal.

 

Surat, a farmer charged with serious fraud offenses for crowdfunding the purchase of his buffalo Tongkum, went Thursday to Khan Na Yao police station after he was summoned to present evidence that he had pure intentions in buying Tongkum.

So all these people using GoFundMe to pay for their lack of medical insurance are committing a serious fraud offense then?

I can sense a drama movie coming up soon.. 

Big media interest = lots of immediate backpedalling by the idiot guy who involved the police.

 

Those people gave their money freely to buy this guy the animal, I have a feeling this will now have a proper western style outcome regardless of who the original owner of this buffalo was and whatever make believe reason he used to justify taking it back.

 

Also any charges should be dropped as he's clearly done nothing wrong.

As far as I understand, the farmer asked money to buy and save the buffalo that would have been slaughtered !?!,..And the owner never intended to kill the Buffalo.

So, the farmer lied to get the money !?..

Disgruntled buffalo wanders into cave following ownership dispute and gets trapped, international rescue effort see's Elon Musk save the buffalo in custom made submarine, buffalo get's to visit Uncle Tuu at Govt House then travels the world and appears on the Ellen Show...…..I think this has some merit!

BANGKOK — A farmer accused of serious crimes for crowdfunding a buffalo has denied all charges and says the animal is suffering in police lock-up.

 

Surat Phaeoket, whose heartwarming photos bonding with Tongkum the buffalo drew the donations needed to buy the animal, denied committing fraud, laundering money and spreading false information online one day after they were filed by police. Most of all, he says he’s worried the animal is suffering physically and emotionally locked up behind a police station.

When there is a custody dispute, it's always the buffalos who suffer.

This is getting sicker by the moment... someone send him an inflatable buffalo called "dolly"...

Singh said Tongkum could be released on a bond into the care of Surat or the former owner who complained after learning of the animal’s online fame and donors."

 

Let's hope that ALL the ridiculous charges are dropped and that whilst they're getting round to doing so..... the buffalo is released into the care of Surat.

So maybe the conclusion of this story is not far!

The original owner of the buffalo did not fall off a Christmas tree, 100k for a buffalo is expensive, the market price would be no more than 30k, I would have thought this guy would have known the market price.
