Gold shop robber in citizens' arrest - despite his cunning disguise

A gold shop robber was quickly arrested by two brave members of the public in Nonthaburi yesterday. 

 

The robber, who used to work in a beauty salon, had tried to conceal his identity with a nose job, beard and contact lenses. 

 

Bang Bua Thong police were called after a man ran out of a gold shop on the second floor of a store in the Ratanathibet Road area of Bang Yai yesterday morning.

 

He had grabbed a tray of necklaces amounting to 24 baht weight that is worth around half a million baht. 

 

Shop staff and local security gave chase but were helped by two members of the public who fought the robber at the nearby Bang Yai City market.

 

The brave men said they just wanted to help out and would do the same thing again, reported Sanook. 

 

The robber was named as 30 year old Wongsakorn who used to work in a salon. 

 

He had had silicone put in his nose, wore blue contact lenses and a fake beard to mask his identity. 

 

He is now in custody as police look further into his history.

Damn, I thought this was about a 'politician' stealing something of value. ????

Nose job .! Have you seen the bloody mess he made if it .. He just as well used bathroom sealant and then spread it about abit with one of those spatula things .. And he worked in a beauty .! I'd stay away from there if I were you ..

He should have gone for this look.  Would have been easier and he might have gotten some laughs.
