Went on a Thursday by private van.

The building in the middle has a SCB atm machine. I use SCB card. If you use that card with Bangkok Bank or Kasikorn, they  rip you off for 220 baht.

Anyways, you need 500 baht for the Myanmar side.

I was doing a quick out and in with my Non O multiple entry. I do not have info on tourist visas or any other visas.

The Thai immigration is this large middle building. You go in on the left  and come back on the right side. You are facing Myanmar now.

You have 3 cattle fences: One for Thais with border passes, one for Chinese and the rest for us. You get stamped out and exit from the window directly to the other side of the building. Line went very fast.

You exit here...you are now facing the bridge towards Myanmar.

You are crossing the bridge, over a river.

To the left is Myanmar, to the right is Thailand.

You have two doors on the right side. Pass the first door and enter the 2nd door. VERY TINY office with tons of Chinese and sweaty farangs. Others stood in line with some sort of tour passes. They sat me down on a chair, took my passport and 500 baht. They asked me how long I am staying, I told them that I am going back NOW. He walked across the street with my passport and returned it fully stamped in and out.

I assume that if you do stay longer for maybe an hour or so, you go across the street and get it stamped.1988734919_DSC_2339(Small).JPG.99f2878c8c8337593b77f4eb4dff2713.JPG

Heading back home. You are looking at Thailand and immigration building from Myanmar. I was questioned as to what hotel I was at, she wrote it down on the form.

As you walk in to immigration, there are no TM forms. Some guy sits by the entrance and calls you over.

That is it. In and out in maybe 35-40 minutes.

Have fun!

A private van? Do you have a death wish? The Green Bus from Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai is a safer option.

Nice report.

I wish they had the TM forms out the front so you could yourself

to them.  I like to prefill mine out and have a couple of extra's on hand if possible.

Opposite Myanmar immigration at the back of the booze shop, they have quite a decent

confectionary shop as well.

A hotel van from where I was staying at. Super slow driver. Trust me, a snail arrived to the border before I did!

Fair enough. You got one with a sense of self-preservation - many haven't.

Well done Somtamnication.

I've wondered what those border crossings look like.
