Return Ticket Bkk to UK purchased here - Will I have a problem returning to Bkk?

Featured Replies

Hello there,

I'm flying out in March 2018, returning from UK in Sept 2018
My retirement visa annual renewal expires May 2018.
i.e. while I'm outside Thailand.

Can I renew the retirement visa prior to May?

Also "bloke dahn the pub" says I cannot enter Thailand unless I have a return ticket or onward journey ticket.

I will have neither as the original return ticket will have been used.
I have 800k always in my Kbank account (if that makes any difference).

thanks

A assume you got the year wrong in your post.

Some immigration offices will accept the extension of stay application up to 45 days early. If you show them your ticket out of the country they might do it even earlier.

Without a visa or re-entry permit the airline can deny boarding of your flight to here if you do not have a ticket out of the country within 30 days. Immigration seldom asks to see the ticket.

By the sounds of it, financially, you could also ger an OA visa, called long stay visa, that if used the right way would give you two years only involving 90 day reports and no paper work needed for Imm' in Thailand. If you travel regularly then even 90 day reports might not be needed.

What are the actual dates?

Where is your local immigration office?

Do you receive state pension?
