Vicki Archer was found dead earlier this year ( PA )

A BBC radio presenter took her own life at home hours after she left half way through her drivetime show, an inquest heard.

Vicki Archer, 41, had a history of depression and had made two previous attempts on her life, Shropshire Coroner's Court heard.

After emailing a colleague at BBC Radio Shropshire to say she was feeling upset she was found hanged in her Shrewsbury home on August 6.

Coroner John Ellery was told the divorced mother-of-three, who left work at about 5pm, was found by her stepfather, Lee Holyoake, around three hours later.
