BANGKOK, 8th December 2018 (NNT) – The Thailand’s Action Taskforce for Information and Technology Crime Suppression (TACTICS) has apprehended three individuals over unauthorized disclosure of state information.

TACTICS officers arrested Pol Lt Boonserm, Mr. Songsak, and Ms. Jindarat, whose family names were not disclosed, for illegally offering document verification services and the personal information of individuals they were hired to search. They would charge 1,000 baht for a standard search and another 1,000 baht for additional information.

According to TACTICS, the three perpetrators will face charges under the Civil Registration Act B.E. 2534 for unauthorized disclosure of state and private information.

Commissioner of the Immigration Bureau, Pol Maj Gen Surachet Hakpal said today that Pol Lt Boonserm, one of the perpetrators, will face both legal charges and disciplinary action, adding that preliminary investigation has yet to find others involved, apart from the three identified.

Just an observation, but their Acronym is just a tad off....TATITCS I believe is the correct formulation..........( sarcasm alert )

Not sure what its all about ?, maybe it's a state secret.

I haven't got a clue what they were doing wrong, complete mystery, names covered up as well.

Institutions of anti corruption this, crime suppression that......blah, blah, blah.

Yet, don't seem to recognize as such among themselves, in which the consistent criminally organized is formed and steadfast.

Those who live in glass houses.

Is that a picture of Iron Man in the lower left corner?  No doubt he was a central figure in cracking the case.

They are/were accessing the national registration data base (house registration) and selling/giving the person paying for the information all of the personal details contained in the database. It’s easy for the police and ampur offices to get access to it but it’s ‘supposed’ to be private, as in, covered under the computer privacy act. This happens all too regularly and is easily abused by corrupt police, govt office workers and anyone else that has access to this information and willing to accept money for the information.

"TACTICS officers arrested Pol Lt Boonserm, Mr. Songsak, and Ms. Jindarat, whose family names were not disclosed".
Hmmm, interesting. Family names not disclosed. Wonder why that could be?

The guy in the front is talking to 5 people, at a range of about 2 metres, So naturally, he has to have a microphone (and an amplifier nearby).

Must be a Thai...

Hooley dooley.

There are probably 700 junior police officers standing behind these generals, pointing at the display.

He needs the mic as they are all deaf at distances of over 1m due to endless committee meetings of verbal diarrhoea ????

Maybe, but on balance I don't think so. If there were a lot more people, the Thai need to be grandiose would dictate the photographer take a wider view, with more people in it. A couple of other things. See the stacked chairs? That is not a venue with 700 people in it. See the guy with his back turned? See the handful of other drones chattering among themselves behind the graphic? See the guy with the rolled-up handout? This is a handful of bored and inattentive people being talked at by a noise.

Sorry, but your suggestion of it being a large venue with 700 people hanging breathlessly on this drone's every word just doesn't ring at all true. This was a guy with a microphone addressing an audience of no more than 5 or 6 people.

Happy to be shown to be wrong but I don't think I am.
