William Osborne
.. Mid 40's, been using over the counter glasses for 2 years no probs but having trouble with computer and long distance recently. Went to optician (good reviews and perfect english)...he could correct one eye 100% short/long but said he could only correct the right to about 85% for long and it had high pressure (21).... opted for computer glasses and on his recommendation, i went to glaucoma specialist in Bkk-Patt who did tests and gave me all clear (pressure was high but said this sometimes happen) Went back to optician next day as the computer glasses he given me previous day were blurred on the right side.(when checking one by one).. he replaced the lens but said it still wasn't ideal and did another long distance test and again he couldn't find perfect lens and said there was definitely some damage... and said i should go a different hospital for second opinion. I went back Bkk-Patt hospital.. (different) doctor seemed a bit dismissive of opticians view and did prescription check. (pressure test was down to 19)... came up with some combination using the 2 eyes together... obviously an improvement but looking around the room some poster writing seemed not 100 % which she dismissed as bad lighting. So , do i go back to optician and get the prescription..would like to get progressive for long/ computer/ reading but obviously reluctant in spending money on lens if not 100%.. or need to be changed again...so might just opt for long distance and see if eye stays the same... (computer glasses are good and ok for reading but one side more than the other)... Advice appreciated.. cheers
KneeDeep
Get your prescription and try a cheapo pair firstly; https://www.selectspecs.com I actually dropped my prescription a dioptre for each eye, as it was too much. I paid extra for slightly thinner lenses. 780 baht inclusive of delivery, including lenses.
