SESAME STREET

Sesame Street has been known to tackle difficult issues affecting children through their Muppet characters.

Last year the show was praised for introducing a character with autism.

Now the children's programme is introducing its first-ever homeless Muppet to raise awareness of the issue.

The Sesame Workshop announced on Wednesday their plans for a character called Lily's - with a number of short videos released online.

So I guess we are not going to count the one that lives in a garbage can as homeless?

This is a messed up statement of the U.S. society. The richest nation in recorded history of the planet and we have homeless, starving children.

No, because he was not homelss, he just liked living in trash.  The garbage can was actually just the entrance to his house, we got to see inside in one episode.

The US GDP amounts to 22% of the worlds economy and the highest the US has ever been is 28.69% in 1960, whereas China had 32.9% of the worlds economy back in 1820, so the US is not the richest nation in recorded history, China is.

What is the statement, that rich lefties on TV are exploiting the homeless to make themselves feel better about stepping over them on their way from the limo to their posh offices?

Where are all these starving children?

What happened to obesity, I thought that was the biggest health issue....
