thequietman
E85 - it's 20 baht a litre but is it OK to use in motorbikes and cars? Does anybody on here use it regularly? Can I use it in my car or PCX? Many thanks for any input.
pgrahmm
Made a mistake once & got it for my Coleman camping equipment = barely worked..... It's high alcohol content might not be recommended for many of the engines out there.....
Coremouse
I think E20 is fine but E85 too high for non-flexifuel cars, better do a full fuel upgrade before hand? at least big injectors & aftermarket ECU fully remapped e85 cars runs higher horsepower safe & clean but may contaminate engine oil faster... More and more recent cars are specified ("flex-fuel"). See the label at the tank lid. My 7 year old car is only good for E20. So are all scooters that I know. As far as I know motor control (fuel injection timing) has to be modified/adapted. There are add-on kits for that but I hesitated to try. And with the little mileage that I do nowadays it would pay back slowly. Edited December 14, 2018 by KhunBENQ
KhunBENQ
Just checked the current model of the best seller (Toyota Vios) and it supports E85. So are others.

Coremouse
For fuel cost saving lpg & cng kits are fantastic. unless the car is factory flexfuel, e85 sorta more suitable for highly modified turbos - poor man's VP it is XD being tropical sure eliminates all winter problem thats a plus
