does anyone know where I can exchange British currency that is slightly torn or marked?

The banks and exchange places here in Mukdahan only accept notes in perfect condition. I’m planning to travel within the country soon, so I could go anywhere that you think might be able to help me.

The specialized money changers in the tourist areas of Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket, Chiang Mai, Ko Samui etc. might be more tolerant.

Not sure yet, no plan as such.

plan B would be to send the cash back to a friend in England and have them put it in my bank account, in which case I’d need to use a service which doesn’t have sticky fingers - any ideas?

I once had a few slightly damaged Euro notes exchanged at Superrich at Emporium in Bangkok, so you could give Superrich in Bangkok a try.
