Travelling To Uk With 3 Month Old Baby!

Featured Replies

im flying home to the uk soon and need to find cheap flight for myself and baby[do babies get charged?] will be in uk 1 month before returning to thai hubby

any advice

thankyou

Usually children are charged 10% of the adult price. Don't forget to request a cot bed for both flights otherwise you will have to hold your child for the full flight.

Do you want to fly direct? I personally would pay a bit more to. I flew at 3 months preggers & had a small (3hr) stopover & felt like I would die of exhustion, I can't imagine how tiring it would be with a newborn (are you flying alone?) & don't plan on ever finding out. Non stop forever from now on for me :o

Online at Eva for example is 29k baht return direct to LHR 16/03/07 return 1 month. Just searched a random date in the next few weeks.

I'd recommend Gulf Air if you don't mind a 4 hour wait in Bahrain.

They have sky nannies who help out.

As mentioned above, booking a bassinet is imperative.

I'm just trying to book with my 18 month old. Thai charges 12,000 baht for an infant whereas Emirates are just over 3,000 baht. They are the cheapest I have found for three (travelling in May) and are apparently pretty good with young children, though I haven't tried a long flight with mine yet.

But, of course, there's the stopover and their sponsorship of Arsenal to take into account!

Emirates are really good, have flown with them several times on the LHR - BKK route. The stop over is my only issue with them now. If they decided to go non stop I would fly with them all the time.
