bluebluewater
The better starting point would be to try to separate that which is on the ground from that which isn't.

fruitman
I've been seeing those bins for a week now but they are far too complicated for the Thai brains. They just dump whole plastic bags full of garbage in any of them, without seeing what they are for.... And i miss the one for old batteries/oil/chemicals..... rkidlad
It’s always really depressing when you take the time to separate your rubbish and then witness someone lazily stick all their crap in whatever bin is closest to them.
GreasyFingers
I thought our village with catching up on separating waste when the poo yai told everyone that there was a new system and to come and pick up the bins. But not so, we got an ordinary bin with the bottom cut out to put in the ground for vegetable waste. Maybe a start.

They're cutting bins apart to use as a composter?

OKF
when we started this in Europe it took also 10 years for ppl to do it right. It is the kids that need to learn first and eventually they will tell the parents if they do wrong....
