Another Disney classic is getting the live action treatment with a Frozen star on board

Classic Disney animation The Hunchback of Notre Dame is being adapted into a live-action musical.

 

Adapted from the Victor Hugo novel of the same name – published in 1831 – this new project follows in the footsteps of other recent live-action Disney remakes.

 

This includes Jon Favreau's The Jungle Book and The Lion King (set for release this summer), plus 2017's Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson.

 

According to Deadline, Frozen star Josh Gad is eyeing up the title role and has already secured producing duties on the movie.
