I got the new card the first day issued. I went to my branch bank before going back the the U.S. for Xmas. They assured me the card would work outside Thailand, well you can guess how that went. Anyone else's card work outside Thailand? Oh, it would have been nice to know I can direct deposit my SSA pension funds to Thailand, but it can't be transfered back out via Transferwise

That's because Transfer wise DO NOT do THB to USD or GBP transfers. There are other ways though. Dee Dee Dee Dee. (That's me singing )

When I got mine the woman asked me did I want to use it outside of Thailand 

so they must need to program that in & then you just have to hope it works when you go abroad
