libya 115 Posted February 23, 2007 Share Posted February 23, 2007 SOURCE: Pattaya People: February 23rd 2007 Bus Reverses Over Couple on Motorbike On the 21st of February at 7.45am Dongtan Police were called to the scene of an accident near Somprasong Plaza on Jomtien Beach Road. Police quickly attended the scene to find a coach bus and its driver, Kasemsan Yodsungnern, aged 41. Not far away from the bus Police also found a damaged motorbike. A witness told Police that the driver and passenger of the motorbike who had both sustained serious injuries after a head on collision caused by the big coach reversing from a Soi. Both victims had already been taken to Pattaya Memorial hospital. A witness at the scene attempted to warn the coach driver that he was about to run over the unfortunate pair after the initial collision. However, the driver did not heed the warning and continued to reverse and ran over the unfortunate pair. The driver was taken to the Police Station where he pleaded guilty to reckless driving and confessed to police that he did not see the motorbike couple.
