Thai Police Check

Featured Replies

I hope I’m putting this in the correct section.

After finally shipping the little one off to Nursery two weeks ago, I am ready to get back to work after 3 years. I got offered a job last week dependent on a Police Clearance Check.

The employer handed me a letter of intent, saying that they were going to employ me from February and told me to go to Police HQ armed with my passport and copies of all pages.

However, after looking through the forum and at the PCS website/application form it seems to state that for Work I need copies of a work contract and work permit (which I obviously don’t have as I’m not working) as well as a letter from the employer.

I live in Nonthaburi and don’t want to trek all the way to the city centre only to be told my paperwork isn’t sufficient.

Will it be a waste of time if I go only with my passport and letter of intent?

Any help on this appreciated.

On this list of required documents it appears what the want are really or statements. http://pcscenter.sb.police.go.th/filedownload/infomation-service-4.pdf

For example this one. "For work -Hire Contract/Work permit/Job offer from the employer company".

I am aware of people getting them with only the job offer mentioned.
