Suan Dusit poll shows people worried elections may not even be held

It’s not like the junta will give up power. The winning party will be a puppet. The sad thing is, the people will fall for it. And if it were a fair election, votes would be up for sale again, starting it all over.

They get the government they deserve.

Don't confuse "falling for it" with "resigned to it." The masses will fall into both camps.  Many unsophisticated/uneducated here can still intuit the existence of the massive bullshit, lies, and indifference on the part of their government without being able to deconstruct or analyze it.

That "massive bullshit, lies, and indifference" goes far beyond the government in Thailand.

Quite right.

Lets just hope Khun Prayuth continues on as expected.  Thailand needs someone in control otherwise there is fighting, protests blocking roads and airports, lawlessness as we have witnessed in the past.

WOW! if nearly 50% in a poll are unsure the election will not happen, the real numbers must be scary.

This will play into the current regime's narrative. Watch this space.

It is interesting these numbers are being published at all, there must be a strong groundswell for chamge.

Your right, the numbers inevitably have been massaged but the indication of distrust by Thais of their government is accurate, and well deserved.
