A Lao man was arrested in Nong Khai on Monday night in possession of 9,719 methamphetamine pills, police said on Tuesday.

Sidprasert Sisaswad, 25, was apprehended at a road checkpoint on the Mittraparp road in Nong Khai’s Mueang district at 10.30pm.

Police at the checkpoint noticed that he appeared nervous inside a passenger van, with a bag on the floor between his legs.

Police checked the bag and found the drugs.

The man said he had been hired by another Laotian to take the bag from the car park of Ban Paeng Hospital in Nakhon Phanom for delivery to a person in Udon Thani, but he had alighted from the Nakhon Phanom-Udon Thani van by mistake when it arrived at Nong Khai Bus Terminal.

As a result, he had bought a ticket to board a Nong Khai-Udon Thani van, but was arrested at the checkpoint before he could complete his journey.

That was for personal use.

Easy fixed - lock him in a room, make him take all the drugs (even if it takes a fews days) end of problem! Bring on the next one............... the word will soon get around.

No further hassles. ????

Probably en route to Udon, one stop shop.
