Hello all,

 

i have a work permit till AUG 2019 and i was at the immigration office last week to get the one year non immigration B Visa.

They gave me a stamp "under consideration" with date till 22nd FEB.

 

My question is: In this time do they control, if i'm working in the headquarters office (same district of immigration office)?

Because usually i'm working most of the time in the department office of my company in the city.

 

Further i had a knee surgery, so i shouldn't be every day in the office right now.

Does in this case a medical certification works if i'm not in the headquarters office when they appear?

What you are applying for from the immigration office is not a visa but an extension of permission to stay. You may not believe it but it is an important difference.

Yes you are right! Why is it such an important difference?

With regards to your question, it would be the responsibility of the Labour Dept. not Immigration as to the location of your workplace. The chances of them checking are low. If they do, just let HR deal with it. It is nothing you should worry about. I would advise you not to ask questions like this at Immigration. Are you familiar with the expression, 'can of worms'?

 

I worked at multiple locations across multiple provinces when I was on WP + extension without any problem.
