The husband may need to show a small amount of income when the application is done. Edit: Other than the proof of income or money in the bank the required documents are about the same and there will be a under consideration period while it is being approved. Here is my general requirements for an extension based upon marriage to Thai lady. Just leave out any reference to income or money in the bank.
