Why the night sleeping Farrell from Koh Tao to Chumpoon need 6 hour travel time?

A friend booked night sleeping Farry to Chumpoon total time 6 hour

The travel agency where the ticket was bought also could not explain why in night time farry need 3 time longer reach Chumpoon then on day time ?

6 hours is right, it's a slow boat. Night boat only runs to Koh Tao from Chumpon every other nights (using the 'other' nights to return to the mainlain from Koh Tao). Day ferry belongs to a different company that use faster boats.
