Last day possible to extend visa in Koh Samui?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have an israeli passport with a multiple entry thai visa (used only the last entry) which will end on March 5th (last day on the stamp) what would be the last date I can go to extend it in samui immigration? is it 5th of march or 6th of march is still valid?

Thank you.

The 6th of March would be the day you would have to leave the country or apply for the extension.

You can do it early and lose no days. Going a week early should not be a problem at most office.

There is no need to wait until the last possible moment. Apply for the extension a week in advance - Nothing is lost and day one of the extension will be March 6th

March 5th is the last day. If you apply after the 5th you’d have to pay a 500 baht per day overstay fee. 6th = 500; 7th 1,000 etc.

It’s best to apply early. Day 1 of the extension will be March 6th, regardless of when you apply.

Thank you all! it was a great help.

I'll follow ubonjoe's advice and go a week earlier.
