The case against Magic Skin Co, accused last year of peddling substandard cosmetics and weight-loss products, inched forward this week.

Pol General Rungroj Saengkhram, deputy national police chief, speaking in his capacity as acting chief of the Anti-Money Laundering Office, said on Wednesday the company directors accused in the matter had 30 days to explain the origin of a large amount of cash and two expensive cars that were seized.

If they failed to do so in time or their information was unpersuasive, he said, the prosecutor would take the case to court.

The AMLO transaction committee resolved on Tuesday to temporarily seize more than Bt19 million in cash and the two cars, each worth Bt20 million.

Magic Skin’s once-popular products came under a cloud early last year following reports that it made and sold substandard cosmetics while relying on celebrity endorsements to boost their appeal.

What ain't substandard in Thailand???? You really have to be on your lookout here.from electrical items, food the list is endless.even the electricity supply is known as dirty electric that damages everything unless it's protected with a ups surge protector.....the whole country is loaded with substandard goods unless its imported and taxed the nuts out of.

Let us be honest about this, make us an offer that we can't refuse. Borrowing from dead friends is only valid for Prayuts friends so don't insult our intelligence or desecrate our moral values.

It's a red registration plate, so it belongs to the dealer who sold the car.

I have a feeling that the accusations will "Magically" disappear.......

...nothing like drawing attention to yourself.

I don't really understand what the problem is. Diet supplements/cosmetics is a huge upside marketing scam around the world. Promise a highly trained athletes body with diet supplements, and beauty queens beauty with makeup. (and photoshop) Pennies to make and dollars of profit. You need exotic sports cars and mansions to show the success that everyone can have.

My uncle Somchai owns the cars and cash

You cant talk to him as he went on a holiday and left me in charge.

Maybe he not come back for long time  :wai:
