Thai ED Visa Application: Manila or Kuala Lumpur?

Featured Replies

A question for the esteemed gentlemen on this board,

due to unique circumstances I will be in Manila and in Kuala Lumpur next month. I was wondering which city, Manila or Kuala Lumpur, is easier to apply for a Thai ED Visa? Of course, the less hassle, the better.

I heard Manila doesn't accept ED visa applications from foreigners and is only serving Filipinos, but that is just the grapevine and we all know the worth of such information ????

Cheers

Kommissar

Do you have the necessary paperwork provided by a school/university?

Not sure about applying Manila. Requirements can found here.

The embassy in KL has a police clearance requirement on their checklist for ED visas.

You also have to make an appointment to do the application now. https://linistry.com/Customer/ServiceMenu?branchId=127&parentId=1383

Damnit man. They always have something new. Not that I am wanted in any way (????) but is this police clearance strictly requested?

Whether it is needed or not is academic without it you will not receive a visa.

You could contact them about it.

The best place to get the non-ed visa is in Vientiane Laos. http://vientiane.thaiembassy.org/upload/pdf/Visa/Non- ED & O.pdf

Agree, you should call them.

I am in manila about to pick up non-b visa.

For my visa requirements they followed their list strictly.

I telephoned them before twice and got through easily and answers were fairly cooperative.

NB for manila you submit in morning and pick up two business days later in afternoon.
