Hi all,

Checked the pinned post with the templates but could not find the one for SETV from the Thai Embassy in Hanoi. And on their webpage most of the links are in vietnamese so hard to navigate and find the correct application form. Anyone avaliable sharing the correct link or a pdf of the correct document would be highly appreciated. Also, the 40 USD application cost, is that to be payed in USD or in THB?

Make sure that your USD are in pristine condition. That's pretty much true for Vietnam as a whole, but certainly for the Thai embassy there as well as the consulate in HCMC.

Point taken, thanks for the tip. Do you know if one can withdraw USD straight from an ATM at the airport in Hanoi or is a currency exchange where one must head?

ATMs in Vietnam only dispense VND. Personally, I'd get USD before heading to Vietnam if possible.
