Video: Loony doing a wheelie causes trouble for everyone

An engineering student on a motorcycle was filmed doing a wheelie on the road leading from the Rama VII bridge in Bangkok.

He lost control and collided with another bike who was delivering several gas canisters strapped to the back of his bike. They both came off.

Fortunately the car in front of the dash cam vehicle managed to stop in time - and none of the gas canisters exploded.

The footage was posted by Thanapat Suwanchai on his Facebook page "Tatar Thanapat".

He said he went to help and an insurance company was soon on the scene. He said the rider doing the wheelie was an engineering student.

Simple solution: Remove his licence and his bike for a year.

Force him to be accountable for his mistakes, others around him will learn from his mistake.

Unforunately, Thailand is all too tolerant for the Wai and 500B fine which only serves the violator... society continues to learn that they are living in a world free of consequence and can do what they like when they like regardless of the outcome, inconvenience and risks of injury or worse to innocent others.

That Cams bloody awfull.

Maybe he should start his education with some physics courses.

And the gravity and impact assessment of tarmac????

What amazes me is how totally thrilled most are with thier little scooters,,even after years of ownership and grandstanding ,it continues ,day and night ,where ever they go , racing and reving ,wheelies and showing off...one would think the novelty would wear off...

This is not news this happen  every day and night and they will never learn to behave better

my first generation as is best

There is no better view of anarchy or total disrespect for laws or personal safety than on the roads of Thailand.  No where in the world is so much reckless stupidity exhibited on an ongoing basis.  Commercial drivers speeding recklessly through lights, passing uphill and forcing oncoming vehicles to the sides of the road are just a few examples.  Motorcycles with their tail lights intentionally removed used as racers by 14 year old kids without helmets.  Locals and farang racing around town in Fortuners like they are in the Indy 500 passing anything at a moments notice.  All the while the local police operating checkpoints like a drive thru bank.  Amazing Thailand.

Hold on, arent the police going to arrest him, fine him and give him jail time, like they threaten farangs

And 4 or 5 courses about 'check before you make any move, and keep checking again and again'...

I was riding big bikes in Asia for many years. However, if I would have been the driver of the red car I would have definitely felt the itch in my foot on the accelerator to run over his legs, to prevent the moron could ever do this stunt again.

As the dash cam was located in a vehicle travelling behind the accident what would you have liked him to do.. consult a crystal ball as to what may happen while negotiating the roads ?

Or just drive up to the accident scene for a better view for you to look at?

Kudos for the following Red Mazda for braking in time & not causing injury to the "gas bottle" rider who had

ended up in front of him.

The student should be hammered for this !

Dash Cams in Vehicles tend to be located inside , often with a vehicle in front ,the picture quality is rediculosey bad for 2019. Just the average Student enjoying his Day to me.:drunk:

If you're in a hurry to get somewhere, the action starts around 2:00

Can someone please tell me if the format of the video in this article is any different as it will not play when I click on the arrow?

I have no problem with the 16x9 size videos.

Thank you.
