"I heard you paint houses?" "Yes, I do."

Not the most thrilling dialogue in the world, but when it's accompanied by the names involved in Netflix's forthcoming Martin Scorsese movie, The Irishman, it's virtually impossible not to project edge-of-your-seat weight into them.

In The Irishman, Scorsese directs Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Ray Romano and Harvey Keitel in an adaptation of Charles Brandt's bestselling book, I Heard You Paint Houses, in which Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran remembers killing over 25 people for the mob, including (perhaps) Jimmy Hoffa. De Niro is Sheeran, Pacino is Hoffa, and Scorsese uses all that new de-aging tech floating about these days to show us their story unfolding over decades.

Have a look...
