Entry Stamp no date or type/Exit stamp 'cancled'

Featured Replies

Hello, I entered Thailand yesterday via ferry intending to get a 30 day exempt stamp. (My third in the last several months if that's relevant, but I haven't been in Thailand for over a month.)  When I looked at my passport today I noticed It was stamped with both and entry and exit stamp on my passport and departure card, but the exit stamp in both has a CANCLED stamp over it. Additionally, my entry stamp does not have a "class" type nor an "admitted until" date on it like my other entry stamps have had. Is this an issue? Or should I just assume they accidentally stamped me out, noted it was canceled, and assume I have the normal 30 days.

Thanks!

Best not to assume the 30 days.

I suggest you go to a immigration office and the get the stamping error corrected. The can check their records to find out what your admitted until date is and put on your entry stamp.

Ok thanks for advice. I am in a rather remote place and did swing by the office on the pier where I entered this morning but it was closed.

Thanks again for prompt reply. I just went to the rather informal looking office and they apologized and stamped my entry stamp w a date 30 days later.
