Video: Python shocks mum in the middle of the night - but will she win the lottery?!

A Facebook post followed up by Thai Rath contained CCTV footage of a large python entering the bedroom of a man's mother at night. 

 

She moves her overhanging foot away just as the serpent appears ready to strike. 

 

Coming to her senses she grabs a torch and shines it at the snake who escaped into the sanctuary of a bathroom before snake catchers rounded it up.

 

There was much debate at how the python got in the house. 

 

It was later released down a drain causing some consternation that it would return another day.

 

Some people commenting on the "Chang Uandam" page suggested that it was auspicious that a snake would go in a house. 

 

The poster - who did not reveal where he and his mum lived - gave out the number of the house, 121/460, for lottery purposes.

We had a lizard in ours, if I manage to catch it do you want me to send it round to sort the cockroach out?

My missus welcomes my python in the bedroom every night !
