"awareness" is too often, not a way of thinking in the Kingdom, sadly.

Have a ministry of information with control over the media.

 

Idea being to promote good living and public information, in particular the soaps that are fiction and send the wrong messages, make them more realistic, I am sure if they ran a story based on this tragic event embedded into the plot it would be more informative than any other form of media.

 

One only needs to to look at the BBC's Radio 4 production "The Archers" to see how it is done, the story line of Helen in an abusive marriage did a wonderful job in promoting awareness of cohesive behavior, and even credited for helping to bring in legislation to make such behavior a criminal offence in the UK.

So much TV is controlled by state agencies that it really ought to be able to give out useful public information. I have seen campaigns at the cinema from time to time and the talent and imagination to get the message accross is certainly there.
