dddave
I'm considering a UPS, not as much for computer power back-up, but as a power source to run a fan and maybe one light when my building power goes down, which happens about every 2 or 3 months, usually for several hours. Is a UPS practical for this kind of use? I read something about the sine wave not being appropriate for motors like fans but I was not sure what kind of UPS was being referred to. What power ratings should I look for? What units sold locally are worthwhile?
