Video: What to do with a drunk driver? Take his keys!

Police in Pathum Thani north of Bangkok had no trouble making an arrest after a member of the public relieved a drunk driver of his car keys.

A video posted to "U-Tapoon Lanthung" on Facebook showed a drunk driver smashing into vehicles in Klong 1 near a nightclub at 1 am on Sunday morning.

As the drunk driver is stuck in traffic a man jumps forward and takes his keys. The driver gets out and the person who took his keys says: "Come on then, follow me!"

Police are soon on the scene as the hapless drunk - aged about 30 - has nowhere to go.

Good job, nice to see Thais also combating drunk drivers.

What a tool hitting other cars drunk and then wanting to drive off.

To meny drunk drivers

Good to take his keys

Well done

Nice move...

Very fortunate  that the drunk guy did not have a loaded gun in his car to safe face.

Well done, member of the public, doing something the cops don't do.

"Vigallantyism" alive and well. Maybe this could start a movement.

Good on the key taker !

What a smartass move, this young fella should be rewarded for civil courage....
