Prodigy frontman Keith Flint hanged himself at home, inquest hears

The Prodigy's iconic frontman Keith Flint hanged himself in his own home, an inquest has heard. The 49-year-old was found dead at his house in the Essex hamlet of North End on March 4.

 

Coroner's officer Lynsey Chaffe told a two-minute hearing in Chelmsford, on Monday, that Flint's provisional medical cause of death is hanging.

 

She said: "Police attended, all protocols were followed and his death was confirmed as not suspicious."

 

A post-mortem examination was carried out at Broomfield Hospital on March 7 and the provisional medical cause of death was recorded as hanging.

RIP Keith ... nice bloke by all accounts. Christ knows why people do these things?

I heard a cool fan interaction story with Keith. A guy said he was at a concert, and was above the stage on the side, watching the show. During the show, Keith randomly climbed up the structure to where the fan was standing. Keith saw him, and with that crazy wide eyed and wild smile he had, nodded to the fan, then climbed back down.

I read that it may have been because of his separation from his Japanese DJ wife, and failure to reconcile.

I never heard of this band.  Maybe he got wind of that and couldn't handle it.
