ok so this is a unusual situation for me. I've come back to the uk to get a new passport as my old one had run out of pages, however my school has already begun processing the paperwork for the work permit

Now if I get my extension of stay etc transferred to the new passport. The passport  number and cover page has changed but the stamps will be the same.

 

How do you think the labour department will take this. I didn't consider this, but the new passport had to be done anyway

 

Does anyone have an idea on the actions of the work permit people in this situation?

They will update your work permit to show your new passport number.

so no need for any other paperwork? considering they have 5 x copies of every page in the old passport
