March 15, 20197 yr Previously when I was renting a room in Chiang Rai I was given nothing regarding any receipt. Now I have changed to another location and the Thai lady requests my passport when I arrive and then gives me back same day along with the following paper I have attached. I am on a Retirement Visa that I renew in Ubon as that is my main residence. I assume that I need do nothing with this receipt I am given ? CR - Receipt.PDF
March 15, 20197 yr Keep this receipt in your passport and be sure to file a TM28 change of residence with Immigration. The receipt proves you landlord notified Immigration that you are residing in their property.

I just asked the owner of the room regarding this receipt, and she told me only she needs to report that I am renting her room, I need only to keep the receipt in my passport and no reporting has to be done by myself. I divide my time between Ubon & CR and have a few of these receipts given by the Landlord but have never done any reporting related to this receipt. The only report I do is my 90 day in Ubon
March 15, 20197 yr The TM30 form submittal is all that is needed for the owner to comply with the requirements. No different than traveling around the country, staying in hotels and etc that do the reports online. You do not need to do anything at immigration in Chiang Rai.
