I'm looking at going to the mainland by ferry with my motorbike, rather than riding around through Phang Nga.

I know I can get the vehicular ferry from Phuket town to Yao. Does anyone know if I can get from Yao to Krabi?

I asked at Bang Rong and the lady said "yes, you can" but had no details.

The bike is a 250cc and I'm told the regular large longtail ferry boats will probably take it - but I need to be sure.

I can't find anyjthing online about this.

There's a regular ferry from Koh Yao Noi to Ao Thalane Pier, north of Ao Nang. I think there's also one from Koh Yao Yai, possible the same boat with an extra stop. If not take the ferry between the islands first.

I know the ferry routes, just not if it is possible to take a bike ????

I tried the TAT in Phuket Town today. They called Krabi to ask. Yes, one of the northern piers in Yao Yai has a boat to Ao Nang. Couldn/t give me a time, though ????

Public transport info, in general, is pretty damn poor in Thailand.
