The Health Department has issued healthcare tips to voters on March 24.

Health Department director-general Dr Panpimol Wipulakorn on Thursday advised voters to sleep for at least six hours before heading to their polling station. Also voters were told to wear light clothes because temperatures over 40 degrees Celsius were expected.

“There is a risk of heatstroke,” Panpimol warned, adding that voters therefore should make sure they drink lots of water.

For March 24, voters are encouraged to drink between eight and 10 glasses of water.

“Also bring an umbrella and a hat when you head out to vote,” she said.

On March 17, many people joining the advance voting found themselves queuing for hours to cast their ballot.

Sounds a bit dodgy to me.

Best postpone the whole exercise until we've sorted global warming.

I'm sure the silver-tongued "Don" can make sure that everyone understands...
