Democrat party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva made clear today that his recent announcement that he will not support Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha’s return to joining pro-Thaksin parties in forming the post-election government is not a party’s resolution, but is in line with its political stance.

 

Abhisit came under heavy criticism from former Democrat secretary-general Suthep Thuagsuban, founder of the Ruam Palang Prachachart party (Action Coalition for Thailand party), for what he alleged to be his slant toward the pro-Thaksin Pheu Thai. Meanwhile, the pro-Thaksin camp has accused the Democrat leader of playing  political games.

 

Abhisit said that his statement and the remarks made by Mr. Thavorn Senniam, a deputy leader, on the matter were not contradictory and that the party, by means of a resolution, has the final say on key political issues and can overrule the party leader.

Oops. The poodle slipped his leash for a minute there. Been yanked back into line now though. Panic over.

What kind of person is he not supporting a brave and selfless leader of a coup.  Only in Thailand are those who steal so big revered as saviors of the country.  The yellows are a bit klepto-cratic as well
