quandow
I'm going to get the ฿800,000 transferred to my Thai Bangkok Bank branch in Jomtien soon enough to satisfy 2 months but not 3 months of seasoning. Has anyone had any personal experience of Jomtien refusing an extension of stay based on only 2 months seasoning? This will NOT be my first extension of stay. Popular Post ubonjoe
The rules state 2 months and Jomtien has been giving out a copy of the order stating it is two months. 1

Yep, I again went back to Jomtien Immg. today (luckily I live close by) and this time went directly to the Retirement visa desk and not the front desk. I was then handed the same document that UdonJoe keeps presenting. I then specifically asked the lady at the desk if these requirements were also the same for renewal of the RV. My issue is that it really doesn't state at the top that if it's for an initial or renewal. She told me it's the same for both 5 months total 2 for prior seasoning and 3 for after issuing the visa. So it looks like for simplicity's sake with the new rules Immg is just lumping everyone together. Edited March 27, 2019 by jwdub 4

It has always been clear to me that it was 2 months before and then 3 months for every extension. They lowered the 3 months to 2 months and eliminated the 60 days for the first extension. 3
Skeptic7
OK waiting for it... ...a conflicting experience! If not from Jomtien, then certainly from a different office!
mahjongguy
My neighbor renewed his retirement extension last week (March 20th) using the 800k method at Jomtien. He was given a notice to return in 90 days, on June 18th, and told just to bring his passport and bank book. No bank letter. - No mention if that date was plus or minus 7 days or anything like that. - He was told that this was not related in any way to his regular 90 day address reporting.
