March 28, 20197 yr Following suggestion from senior member and asking if anyone can give Rocket festival dates for this year?.
March 29, 20197 yr Popular Post The Yasothon festival this year is May 3rd to 7th. I tend to go to the biggest and best though at Phanom Phrai every other year which I think is surprisigly in July. I would maybe see three or four farangs!
March 30, 20197 yr Can anyone tell me for sure if the last day is the rocket launching day this year? Since it falls on a Tuesday (if the 3rd to 7th is correct), which is a work day, I wonder.

The day is irrevellent, its a holiday, having said that the Phanom Phrai one is always geared to a holiday weekend, Its a bit misleading saying 5days, normally a parade and dancing day followed by the rocket day main event
March 31, 20197 yr Also note, that there are several rocket festivals held in different towns on different days over the months of may and june. The pros will make a series of rockets and turn up at different events. For exact dates, you need to decide where you are going
April 4, 20197 yr Popular Post I got this from the TTA but best to follow up with local info. This document misses out sisaket, dansat, Ban sat keow and At Samat. BSK is usually the weekend after Panom Phrai and At Samat is mid week after after Phanon Phra just before Ban Sat Keow. Basically you can do 3 Roi rocket festival over a period of ten days. Kranuan has a parade but only very small rockets and not worth it for the rockets Yasothon and Phanom Phra complete for the biggest display of rockets, Phanom Phrai wins, and for the biggest street party its a close call. PP has a brilliant rocket blessing ceremoney in the PP temple The date of Thai Rocket Festival 2019 as below; Yasothon Province Yasothon's Thai Rocket Festival 2019 May 11th, 2019 : Rocket Parade May 12th,2019 : Launch Skyrocket For more info, please contact TAT Ubon Ratchathani Office. April 6, 20197 yr Kutdu, Nongbulamphu festival is the weekend of 11/12 May. Best Line dancing. Hands down.
April 6, 20197 yr Plenty rockets in Thailand..normally expats full of booze[emoji23]Sent from my SM-G7102 using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
April 12, 20197 yr Where is the best place to stay for Kutwa spinning rocket festival? Kalasin has plenty of hotels but, if I'm correct, is about 60km. away. A bit far to commute over the several days of the festival.
