What is the significance of the margin and total margin columns?

margin is for the individual round

total margin is your cumulative margin for the season for all rounds

if two Tipsters are tied on points at seasons end. the Tipster with the lowest total margin wins

Ahhh ok, I thought I might get a Kewpy doll for getting it right this weekbiggrin.png

No doll, but should be worth a mention in posts. thumbsup.gif

I agree with the great man.

Brisbane Lions' Leigh Matthews calls for one AFL team in Queensland

AFL icon Leigh Matthews believes there is no point persisting with two teams in Queensland.

Matthews coached Brisbane to three consecutive premierships and is currently the deputy chairman at the Lions.

He was sceptical when Gold Coast joined the league in 2011 and reiterated his view last night that there is not enough demand to warrant two sides in southeast Queensland.

"I thought that from the very beginning," Matthews told the Seven Network.

"Nothing will change that. The Suns might win premierships, that's not the issue.

"I don't think there is a demand for two teams in this part of the world."

The Suns and Lions have struggled in recent years, both on and off the field.

Recent crowds have been modest at the Gabba and Metricon Stadium.

The Suns have crashed after a bright start to the season, while fellow expansion side Greater Western Sydney is on track to achieve their maiden finals berth.

The Lions have enjoyed one win this year, over Gold Coast.

Matthews doubted whether the league would seriously look at changing the status quo.

"The people who made that decision are still running the AFL," he said.

"While those people are running the AFL, I don't think anytime soon will there not be two teams in southeast Queensland."

I reckon Sydney will struggle this game...Defence and outside run are going to be our two areas of concern this year...Jetta gone and Rohan injured, so our two speedsters are missing.. Could have Mills and Jones and Talia in defence this first game... Hardly an experienced line up for us.

I am surprised Bulldogs are favourites this game. Freo might miss the 8 this year if they lose this

Speaking of trades, how's that one working out for you Khun Will27? tongue.png

We're just resting him for round 1 Mr Smith.

It's a long season for us travelling teamssmile.png

I thought at the time it was a rare win/win trade.

Won't be able to really tell until years end though.

I've changes my mind about Jetta.

Can we get our money backrolleyes.gif

he looks totally uninterested

Sinclair is working a treat for us

inwas disappointed in losing Jetta butvto be fair he had gone off the boil for the last year and the last 2 years he was crap in the finals.

More spin from Ed.

If you believe Ed when he says he considered quitting but his 2 young sons talked him out of it, you believe in the tooth fairy as well.

there isn't a lot of support now but population growth has that area on a large upward trend

really its about stopping League dominating the market

an issue for the gold coast is the transient nature of the population...plus a lot of kiwis, and asians who have little interest in the game

Former Brisbane Lions great Jonathan Brown has joined the chorus of past players urging the Dockers to recruit Melbourne young gun Jesse Hogan at any cost.

Brown says Fremantle, currently languishing at the bottom of the table, should offer Hogan $15 million over ten years to lure him back to WA.

Bucks was on last night.

Gerard asked a few in-depth questions whereas I thought Robbo went pretty soft on him.

I just looked at the tipping site.

9% of tipsters are for Brisbane and 91% for Collingwood.

The bookies have both at 1.92.

It will be interesting to see what happens later in the week.

Seems out of kilter with how they have been playing....Brisbane home game too

Performance enhancing drug under the WADA list of banned substances

Obelix fell into the potion when he was a baby, and look at his side-effects.

The Swans Ricmond game is interesting. Richmond have won the last 2 games they have played. In the tipping it is 45% for Richmond and 55% for Swans.

Bookies have Richmond 4.10 and Swans 1.24.

Could this be the upset of the round? I hope not.
